DPP is seeking a Database Administrator for an opportunity with our client in Columbia, SC.
Work arrangement: - Remote
- W2 position; 3 months
Project scope: - The client is seeking a highly skilled special assistant to VPCIO administration with extensive experience in Calero Pinnacle 7.6 service pack 1 for a 12-week assignment.
- The successful Database Administrator will work closely with the VPCIO director of administration & resource management to assess and optimize the current usage of Calero Pinnacle for telephony, inventory, and campus billing.
- The role involves conducting a comprehensive study of the current pinnacle usage, identifying and prioritizing overdue actions, and redesigning inventory processes for enhanced accuracy and efficiency.
- The Database Administrator will also be responsible for maintaining inventory and billing tasks, ensuring data accuracy, and providing clear documentation and detailed implementation plans for any identified updates and improvements.
- This position requires strong analytical, project management, and communication skills, along with a proactive approach to problem-solving and a proven track record in system optimization.
Responsibilities and duties: - Assessment and analysis
- Conduct a comprehensive study of the current pinnacle usage for telephony, inventory, and campus billing.
- Identify, prioritize, and complete actions in the system that are past due and require immediate correction.
- Process improvement
- Redesign and update pinnacle-based inventory processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Develop and implement strategies to streamline billing operations using pinnacle.
- Ongoing responsibilities
- Maintain and manage inventory and billing responsibilities through the pinnacle system.
- Ensure data accuracy and timely updates within the pinnacle system.
- Documentation and reporting
- Provide documented procedures and best practices to the director of administration and resource management.
- Develop detailed implementation plans for updates and improvements that are identified but not yet made during the assignment.
Required knowledge, skills, and abilities: - Moderate Calero Pinnacle 7.6 service pack 1 experience
Preferred KSAs: - Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess and correct system deficiencies.
- Excellent project management skills to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
- Effective communication skills to provide clear documentation and reports.
- Highly organized and detail oriented.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to addressing system issues.
Preferred education/equivalencies: - Bachelor’s degree preferred or related experience
