Hansen Physical Therapy in Rapid City, SD is looking for one patient services call center representative (remote) to join our 4 person strong team. We are looking for a Patient Services Specialist to serve as a point of contact for patients with questions about their patient balances. You will be communicating with patients via phone and e-mail and providing exemplary service each step of the way.We are located on 50 Minnesota St Suite 2. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, ambitious, and hard-working.

Responsibilities

• Handle a heavy phone volume across all our clients, answering calls and emails from patients, explaining their patient responsibility, taking payments etc.
• Identify billing issues and solve underlying issues with claims. Escalate issues to the right team members on the billing team
• Collect payments over the phone where applicable
• Provide exemplary customer service

Qualifications

• Familiarity with medical billing concepts is a MUST. Applicants with no medical billing experience will not be considered for this role.
• BONUS: experience working in dermatology
• A successful candidate must understand in detail how medical insurance works and possess a knack for diagnosing and reviewing claims-related issues.
• Strong computer skills, excellent typing skills and ability to learn new Practice Management systems. Experience with Modernizing Medicine is a plus but not required.
• Excellent customer service skills and pleasant demeanor
• Ability to multitask and keep calm under pressure
